(2) Five Minutes: If she is getting dressed, this means a half an hour. Five minutes is only five minutes if you have just been given five more minutes to watch the game before helping around the house.

(3) Nothing: This is the calm before the storm. This means something, and you should be on your toes. Arguments that begin with nothing usually end in fine.
(4) Go Ahead: This is a dare, not permission.. Don't Do It!
(5) Loud Sigh: This is actually a word, but is a non-verbal statement often misunderstood by men. A loud sigh means she thinks you are an idiot and wonders why she is wasting her time standing here and arguing with you about nothing. (Refer back to # 3 for the meaning of nothing.)
(7) Thanks: A woman is thanking you, do not question, or faint. Just say you're welcome. (I want to add in a clause here - This is true, unless she says 'Thanks a lot' - that is PURE sarcasm and she is not thanking you at all. DO NOT say 'you're welcome' . that will bring on a 'whatever').

(8) Whatever: Is a woman's way of saying F--- off!

(9) Don't worry about it, I'll do it: Another dangerous statement, meaning this is something that a woman has told a man to do several times, but is now doing herself. This will later result in a man asking 'What's wrong?' For the woman's response refer to # 3.

How are Mechanical Pencils Made?

Mechanical pencils are made through an automated process in assembly factories. Most pencils are made of plastic and have a hollow barrel, writing tip, eraser, and a built-in lead controlling method. The eraser is usually added to the top end of the pencil and is removed to access the lead barrel. There are two methods of making mechanical pencils: manual assembly of individual parts or using a formed plastic mold.

Before mechanical pencils can be manufactured, there is a design review process. The target consumer must be identified and the key features for the proposed product reviewed. Decisions must be made about the color, texture, and aesthetics of the outer body. At the end of this process, the schematic drawings are completed. These drawings provide the exact measurements for the different components of the pencil, ranging from the barrel size to the mechanism used to control the pencil lead.

In the manual assembly process, these specification details are provided to the different part manufacturing firms so that they can provide the cost and timeline to the assembly firm. The design specifications include details about the different lead sizes that the pencil must be able to accommodate and any other features. The components are manufactured based on these requirements.

The barrel of mechanical pencils must have sufficient space to hold between five and ten individual pencil leads. The barrel can be made from plastic, metal or a combination of rubber and plastic. A mold is created of the required shape and machines are used to produce the barrel.

A metal forming firm completes the creation of the pencil tip and any other metal parts. The tip is manufactured with screw grooves, as this is the most secure method of attaching the tip to the pencil barrel. The lead advancing mechanism is usually metal, and is created by the same firm. These pieces are forwarded to the assembly plant once the order is completed.

An assembler inserts the advancing mechanism into the barrel, checking to ensure that it functions properly. The pencil barrel is added to a conveyor belt, which takes it through a machine that inserts the pencil leads into the barrel. The tip is screwed into the barrel and the eraser is inserted into the top of the barrel. The pencil is then placed into the packaging material and prepared for shipment.

For a fully formed disposable model, a die is created for the barrel, tip, and eraser holder as one piece. The mechanism to move the mechanical pencil forward loaded with lead and inserted into the barrel. The eraser is added at the top of the pencil as a final step before being placed in packaging material and shipped.

A variety of raw materials are used for making the components of a ballpoint pen, including metals, plastics, and other chemicals. When ballpoint pens were first developed, an ordinary steel ball was used. That ball has since been replaced by a textured tungsten carbide ball. This material is superior because it is particularly resistant to deforming. The ball is designed to be a perfect sphere that can literally grip most any writing surface. Its surface is actually composed of over 50,000 polished surfaces and pits. The pits are connected by a series of channels that are continuous throughout the entire sphere. This design allows the ink to be present on both the surface and interior of the ball.

The points of most ballpoint pens are made out of brass, which is an alloy of copper and zinc. This material is used because of its strength, resistance to corrosion, appealing appearance, and ability to be easily formed. Other parts, like the ink cartridge, the body, or the spring can also be made with brass. Aluminum is also used in some cases to make the pen body, and stainless steel can be used to make pen components. Precious metals such as gold, silver, or platinum are plated onto more expensive pens.

It starts with a block of cedar (1) which is then cut into slats (2).
The slats are then stained (3) and grooves are cut into one surface (4).
Prepared leads are placed into the grooves (5) and a second slat is placed on top and bonded with the first (6).
This 'pencil sandwich' is then passed through a milling process (7) to separate the individual pencils (8).
The pencil is painted and finished (9 & 10), a ferrule crimped onto the end (11), and finally, an eraser is crimped into the ferrule (12).

Hacking and viruses are blatant problems we can readily acquire online when we are not careful enough in being pro active with what we download or post information on the Internet. Many users have been victims to identity theft and mistaken identity alarms when information from their online profiles have been stolen and used against them. Countless computers have crashed with their files irretrievable due to viruses coming from unknown files they have opened. The boundary for anything to happen with regards to the Internet cannot be quantified thus the only way to protect you is to be vigilant.

There are many steps advised when trying to attain Internet security. One is to update the software you have installed within your computer. Outdated software may have been cracked previously resulting to the updated version in response to that certain glitch therefore having updated versions may protect you from these hackers. Checking your settings on your online profiles may also be a preventer. Do not assume that your profiles are secured as they are for public viewing as default in usual online settings. Ensure that you secure your profile information only unto which you are ready to disclose to the public. Make sure that a firewall system is installed in your computer. Through this you will be able to detect what comes in and goes out of your PC and to protect you from unnecessary pop ups that come from websites that are unsecure.

Passwords are also made for a secure reason so avoid using passwords obviously related to your profile. This will make your accounts highly susceptible to be broken into. Passwords created from a combination of random subjects, letters or numbers can create a more unlikely password for your secured account. Password variety is also a key in updating your online information. Make sure that you renew or change your password every so often and avoid using similar, or worse, the same password for multiple accounts. An anti-virus program is highly encouraged for you to protect your computer from various viruses, cookies, and the likes. Dubious files sent through email or pop-ups are not one hundred percent secure so avoid opening unnecessary ones that may contain viruses that could corrupt your files. When sending vital and confidential email messages encrypt your message in order that you secure important information in case the mail gets delivered erroneously.

A classic example of security breach is when accessing your profile or account from an unfamiliar computer. Users tend to forget to sign out when using a different computer leaving their profiles open and ready to use by the next user. It is crucial that you remember to sign out or log out from your account profile before leaving the host computer as you are giving the next person in line for the machine absolute right to maneuver whatever is left open when you leave. Lastly, ensure that you create backups for your files just to be sure.

If you don't defend you computer, and business, from security threats, then you'll definitely have a crash or downtime at some point. It's almost inevitable. Remember that, in any case, computers are not built to last forever. From the start of having your computer, imagine it breaking down. Think about what you will do with it and how will you get it fixed, if you can. You'll probably be able to retrieve some of your stuff, like your documents but never presume it'll be certain.

1 Backups. Always make backups of all your materials, including your websites. For your computer, have two backup places for extra security. You could use extra hard drives or use an online backup service. If you use hard drives, then keep one well protected. Some people recommend keeping it in a safe or a place well protected from fire and flood. After all, this is your business literally on your computer.

2 Update your systems. Whatever operating system and browser you use, always install the latest updates. In fact, any systems which need keeping up to date should follow the updating advice of those systems.

3 Firewall. Your computer probably has some kind of firewall installed, including any from your operating system. This is to stop hackers and viruses getting through. However, they''re not always the best. So, have your own firewall installed, which should be the best you can afford.

4 Settings. Check your browser and email settings. Active-X and JavaScript can be used by hackers to put malware on your computer. See if you can set a high setting for "interenet zone" security and medium to low for "trusted sites".

5 Antivirus. Install the best antivirus software you can afford and ensure you'll get regular updates, and daily if you can. Antivirus systems usually have other systems too, such as firewalls and checking of websites.
